PALRAM PALSHIELD™ Ballistic-grade Polycarbonate Sheet is a layered, laminated flat polycarbonate sheet designed for safety and security glazing. It withstands physical attacks and multi-shot ballistic assaults by absorbing impact energy without shattering or spalling, featuring a non-spalling design and abrasion-resistant coating for long-term clarity.[1][2][3] Available in forced-entry options (2-3 plies, 9.5-19mm thick, compliant with ASTM F1915-05 Levels 1-2) and ballistic grades (3-4 plies, 19-32mm thick, UL 752 Levels 1-6).[1][5] Weighing nearly half that of glass, it offers high optical clarity, UV resistance, and colors including clear, bronze, and grey.[1][5] Applications include storefront security, school glazing, banks, government buildings, prisons, drive-up windows, and ticket booths.[1][2][5]
