ARLON Series 5590 Dual Color Film is a premium 4-mil (100 micron) perforated cast vinyl featuring an 85/15 pattern (85% vinyl, 15% open area) with permanent pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive and clay-coated release liner. Designed specifically for internally illuminated signage and channel lettering, it delivers one opaque color (standard white 120 or black 122; custom colors available) in daylight for maximum visibility, switching to white or a backlight color at night for striking dual-color effects. Key features include superior release and weedability, excellent initial tack and ultimate adhesion (≥0.89 kg/cm peel adhesion), high tensile strength (≥4.46 kg/cm), and elongation up to 100%. It offers gloss finish (25-40 units at 60°), dimensional stability (0.635 mm max shrink at 70°C), and service temperature range from -40°C to 93°C. Rated for 5-year outdoor durability (unprinted), with 1-year shelf life under ideal conditions (21°C, 50% RH). Apply at 15-32°C on clean, dry substrates like etched aluminum for optimal performance in visual communications, backlit displays, and architectural signage.
