Description

Arlon Series 3420 Slip-Resistant Overlaminate is a premium 3-mil (75 micron) calendered vinyl film with a clear, permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive, designed to protect and extend the life of printed graphics in demanding environments. Available in gloss (80-90 gloss units), satin (35-45 gloss units), and matte (5-10 gloss units) finishes, it features UV inhibitors for superior image preservation and is rated for outdoor durability up to 5 years on vertical surfaces. Key specifications include tensile strength of 1.8 kg/cm, elongation ≥190%, peel adhesion of 0.45 kg/cm, and service temperature range from -29°C to 65°C. It applies easily at 4.4°C to 38°C on clean, dry substrates, with a shelf life of 1 year under ideal conditions (70°F/21°C, 50% humidity). Ideal for visual communications, Series 3420 serves as a protective overlaminate for promotional, intermediate, and industrial calendered products, including short-term signage, kiosks, and POP displays. Both gloss and matte variants are UL 410 approved for slip resistance in interior floor graphics, and matte is EN 14041 certified, making it suitable for smooth floors, sealed concrete, ceramic tile, waxed vinyl, sealed wood, marble, terrazzo, and low-pile carpet when paired with compatible Arlon vinyls like DPF 4600GLX/MLX, DPF 8200 High Tack, or DPF 8000 Ultra Tack. Floor applications offer up to 6 months durability. Not recommended for horizontal outdoor surfaces due to accelerated weathering.
