ARLON Series 3170

Description

Arlon Series 3170 is a premium 1.3-mil (35 micron) gloss intermediate cast vinyl overlaminate film featuring a clear, permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive on a kraft paper release liner. Engineered for superior protection of printed graphics, its thinner facestock delivers exceptional conformability, making it ideal for wrapping curved surfaces on vehicle and fleet graphics, intermediate signage, kiosks, and point-of-purchase (POP) displays in visual communications and signage applications. Key features include up to 7 years of outdoor durability (unprinted), high gloss finish (80-90 gloss units at 60° reflection), tensile strength of at least 1.2 kg/cm, and elongation greater than 200%. It supports cold lamination without heat, with application temperatures from 4.4°C to 38°C on flat surfaces (15°C to 38°C on corrugated), service range of -40°C to 79°C, and strong peel adhesion building to 5.5 lbs/in after one week. Dimensional stability is excellent, with shrinkage under 0.25 mm after 48 hours at 70°C. Shelf life is 2 years under ideal conditions. Available in 54-inch and 60-inch widths by 50-yard rolls, Series 3170 pairs optimally with Arlon Fusion Wrap, DPF 4600GLX/MLX, or DPF 4500GLX/MLX vinyls for seamless, long-lasting results in demanding B2B printing projects.
