Description

ARLON ProTec Series 3960 is a flexible, high-performance 12-mil (305 micron) gloss overlaminate designed for heavy-duty applications in visual communications, signage, and printing. Engineered as an extremely durable barrier against abrasion, it protects decals and graphics on racing vehicles, dirt bikes, and other power sports equipment while preserving optical clarity and pristine image quality. Crafted from premium PVC film with a high-tack, permanent clear pressure-sensitive adhesive and a clear synthetic release liner, this overlaminate features a quick wet-out adhesive system that minimizes silvering and ensures excellent gloss retention (70-90 gloss units at 60°). It laminates cold without heat for efficient production workflows and offers 2-year unprinted outdoor durability, with superior tensile strength (≥45.67 lb/in), elongation (≥270%), and service temperature range from -40°F to 176°F (-40°C to 80°C). Key applications include protective overlaminates for recreational vehicle graphics, paired with compatible Arlon media like DPF 8000 Ultra Tack or DPF 8200 High Tack films. Available in 54-inch (1.37 m) widths and roll lengths of 10 yards (9.14 m) or 25 yards (22.86 m), it delivers exceptional abrasion resistance and dimensional stability for demanding signage and fleet marking needs.
