ACRYLITE® Satinice Optimum Light Diffusion Enhanced is an enhanced light diffusing acrylic sheet designed for architectural and linear LED lighting applications, particularly backlighting.[1][2] It features special particles distributed throughout the material to provide high light transmission (72-92% at 2 mm thickness across grades WD852-WD855) with wide diffusion angles (20-50° half angle), eliminating LED hot spots while maintaining consistent properties across thicknesses.[1] The matte surface offers superior light scattering, glare reduction, and scratch/fingerprint resistance, with colorless diffusion minimizing color shift.[1][2] This lightweight (half the weight of glass), impact-resistant (20 times that of glass) material is UV-stable, weather-resistant, 100% recyclable, and holds UL ratings including RTI90, HB flame class, and f1 outdoor suitability.[1][2] Applications include luminaires, diffusers, privacy partitions, retail displays, and exhibition booths.[1][4]
