ACRYLITE® Satinice Optimum Light Diffusion is an enhanced light diffusing acrylic sheet designed for architectural and linear LED lighting applications.[1][2][5] Available in colorless grades (WD852 to WD855), it features special particles distributed throughout the material for superior diffusion that eliminates LED hot spots while maintaining high light transmission—92% for WD852 and decreasing to 72% for WD855 at 2 mm thickness, with half angles from 20° to 50°.[1][5] Optics remain consistent across thicknesses, including 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm in sizes up to 96" x 48".[1] The matte surface enhances light scattering, reduces glare, and provides scratch and fingerprint resistance; colorless diffusion minimizes color shift compared to pigmented materials.[1][2][4] Sheets offer low weight (half that of glass), 20 times the impact resistance of glass, high weather resistance, UL ratings (RTI90, HB, f1 outdoor), and 100% recyclability.[1][2][5] Ideal for backlighting, luminaires, and energy-efficient fixtures.[1][5]
