Description

ACRYLITE® Resist is an impact-modified acrylic sheet engineered for demanding applications in visual communications, signage, and point-of-sale displays. Manufactured from polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) polymer, this material delivers approximately 20 times greater impact strength than standard acrylic, making it exceptionally resistant to breakage during fabrication, shipping, and installation. The product offers superior optical clarity with light transmission exceeding 91% for colorless formulations, combined with excellent weatherability and a 30-year non-yellowing warranty. ACRYLITE® Resist maintains high rigidity and load-bearing capacity while remaining lightweight—weighing half as much as glass. Its tensile strength reaches 8,900 psi at room temperature, with a flexural strength of 14.7 kpsi. Available in multiple configurations including solid flat sheets, multi-skin panels, and corrugated wave profiles, ACRYLITE® Resist accommodates diverse design requirements. The material is readily fabricated through sawing, drilling, routing, painting, and cementing, while resisting chipping and melting. Standard sheet sizes range from 48" x 96" to 51" x 100", with thicknesses from 0.060" to 0.500". Available colors include clear, white, bronze, and grey options, making it ideal for interior store fixtures, architectural glazing, and protective display applications where durability and clarity are essential.
