Description

The 3M Scotchcal Gloss Overlaminate 8518 is a premium 2-mil cast vinyl film designed to provide superior protection and a high-gloss "wet paint" finish for digitally printed graphics. This highly conformable, clear overlaminate features a permanent clear pressure-sensitive solvent acrylic adhesive and a layflat polyester liner, ensuring easy application on flat surfaces, rivets, simple and compound curves, and corrugated substrates. It offers 8-year outdoor durability on unprinted vertical surfaces, with excellent resistance to ultraviolet rays, fuel vapors, mild alkalis, acids, salt, water, and abrasion. Ideal for visual communications and signage applications, including vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, trucks, public transportation, watercraft, opaque signs, labels, thermoformable graphics, smooth walls, and windows. It enhances color vibrancy, reflects sunlight brilliantly, and pairs seamlessly with 3M graphic films such as IJ180Cv3, IJ680CR, and IJ5100R. Available in widths like 54 inches and lengths up to 100 yards, it supports electronic cut, kiss cut, die cut, and hand cut methods, with lamination temperatures from 60°F to 100°F and an in-use range of -65°F to 200°F.
