3M Scotchcal Matte Overlaminate 8520 is a premium protective film designed for digital graphics applications across signage, vehicle wraps, and visual communications. This 2-mil cast vinyl overlaminate features a matte finish that eliminates glare and reflections, making it ideal for both indoor installations and outdoor applications where a flat sheen is preferred. The product delivers eight years of expected performance life on flat, vertical outdoor surfaces and provides comprehensive protection against UV exposure, physical scuffs, fuel vapors, and environmental contaminants. Its clear pressure-sensitive adhesive enables conformability to complex surfaces including curves, corrugations, riveted surfaces, and flexible substrates, ensuring professional installation results. Compatible with most inkjet printing technologies including solvent, eco-solvent, UV, latex, and aqueous systems, the 8520 is commonly specified for fleet graphics, vehicle wraps, transit applications, watercraft, labels, and thermoformable projects. The product has been tested to UL410 specifications and is certified slip-resistant for floor graphics applications. Operating temperature range spans from minus 65 degrees Fahrenheit to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, with lamination temperatures between 60 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
