The 3M Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8418G is a premium 1.2 mil cast vinyl film designed as a high-clarity protective layer for inkjet-printed graphics in vehicle wraps, fleet markings, watercraft, and transit applications. Thinner and lighter than the 3M Overlaminate 8518 by 0.8 mil, it delivers a glossy wet-paint finish with exceptional clarity and conformability for navigating compound curves and complex surfaces. Key features include superior resistance to moisture, abrasion, UV exposure, mild alkalis, acids, salt, and occasional fuel spills, ensuring long-term durability. It supports lamination temperatures from 50°F to 100°F (10°C to 38°C) and in-use ranges from -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C). Paired effectively with 3M print films like IJ170Cv3, IJ175Cv3, and IJ180Cv3, it offers up to six years of expected outdoor performance on vertical surfaces and qualifies for a 5-year 3M MCS Warranty.
