The 3M Envision Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8548G is a high-performance, non-PVC clear film designed for superior protection and durability in visual communications, signage, and printing applications. With a 2-mil thickness and glossy finish, it delivers excellent high gloss and clarity comparable to 3M Scotchcal Gloss Overlaminate 8518, while offering enhanced scratch resistance over traditional gloss cast vinyl during installation. This highly conformable overlaminate stretches up to 150%, provides excellent lifting resistance, and applies easily to flat surfaces, rivets, corrugated panels, simple and compound curves, deep channels, and concave areas. It installs reliably in extreme temperatures from 50 to 100°F (10 to 38°C) without becoming too soft or brittle, and performs in use from -65 to 200°F (-54 to 93°C). Key features include greater tensile strength to prevent tearing, no shrinkage, excellent UV protection, resistance to mild alkalis, acids, salt, water, and occasional fuel spills, plus an expected 9-year performance life on vertical outdoor surfaces. Ideal for vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, watercraft, transit, labels, signage, awnings, and smooth or textured walls, it pairs with inkjet printed films for long-term vertical durability and horizontal warranty coverage.
